Harlem Renaissance
I think the Harlem Renaissance was a good thing
because blacks could enjoy their work without being
discriminated. We also learned new types of music
and art from the Harlem Renaissance.

meet with powerful white writers.
So then had better opportunities and great success, for the music, poetry, and storys.
This event was important because nowhere else in America except Harlem did African Americans have a lot of creative freedom. In Harlem African Americans could become novelists, poets, playwrights, essayists, musicians, and artists.
Many African Americans came to Harlem to meet with powerful white editors that would support their work.
